The crisp, contemporary extension to Taylor High School will act as a beacon, signifying the new entrance to the school and symbolising the new lease of life given to
this iconic structure.
The original buildings will also be re-clad in new, highly insulated, metal cladding, whilst windows will be replaced with a new high-quality, energy-efficient glazing system.
Initially commissioned directly by North Lanarkshire Council, the project later moved into the hub South West Scotland Ltd’s remit. Under this procurement route, Kier Construction won a competitive tender to undertake the works on site.
Works on site commenced on site December 2016.
